Loren Nelson Artist Reception

Selections from Loren Nelson's Plastic Covered Buildings series will be on display in Little City. The black and white images capture foreboding clouds, billowing sheets of plastic and the mystery of the hidden architecture. Loren will be attending the artist reception on September 16, 2009.

Big Night: Endless Summer
Produce from the last of summer and the first of fall, fresh meats and seafood, and beer make perfect plates at our second annual beer paired Big Night dinner.
Little City is the setting for the dinner. The food is always wonderful and conversation lively. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP.

Taste and mingle with over 75 Washington winemakers pouring their new releases and favorites at The Washington Wine Commission's 4th Edition of The New Vintage. Sample tasty fare from some of Seattles exciting local chefs -- including City Catering. In addition to the culinary treats and palate-pleasing vintages, KEXP Radio DJ Derek Mazzone will provide a backbeat for the evening, choosing the hottest tracks to match the energy of the evening.

6 employees took our Farmers Market Challenge and each created unique dinners. We have compiled a recipe "book" with pictures in our gallery section. Click on the photos to bring up the recipes. Recipes range from Bread Salad to Bean Ragout and Vegetarian Ravioli to Picnic Pork Roast.

This end of summer cocktail makes use of parsley. It is light and refreshing.
Ingredients
- ¼ oz Chartreuse
- 3 + 1 Parsley Sprigs
- 1½ oz Grey Goose
- ¼ oz Lime Juice
- ¼ oz Simple Syrup (2:1 Sugar to water)
- Club Soda
Swirl chartreuse in glass to coat sides of a collins or chimney glass. Discard extra or save for the next drink.
In shaker, muddle 3 sprigs of parsley, lime juice and simple syrup with ice. Add Grey Goose. Shake vigorously.
Pour into glass leave 1 inch at top. Top with club soda
Garnish with last parsley sprig
